Macauley Bonne got a perfect birthday present when he netted a brace on Saturday to help his Leyton Orient move to the top of the log.

Orient beat Havant 4-0 with the Zimbabwe international hitting the target in either half. He first scored in the 18th minute to double the lead before sealing the victory on the hour.

Bonne has now scored eleven goals in 17 league appearances.

The 23-year-old now has eleven goals and two assists in the 17 league games he has featured so far.

In Belgium, Anderlecht forward Knowledge Musona returned to the first eleven in a league game for the first time since August.

The Warriors captain had struggled for game time and failed to break into the 18-man squad at some point.

He played the whole ninety minutes in Sunday’s 2-1 loss to KAS Eupen.

Midfielder Marvelous Nakamba who also play in the Belgian league for Club Brugge started in the first XI in his side’s 2-2 draw against Sint-Truiden, but he only played for 66 minutes before he was subbed off.

The 24-year-old had missed the opening part of the season due to an injury.

Nottingham Forest defender Tendayi Darikwa featured in a 1-1 draw against Leeds United while Chinese based forward Nyasha Mushekwi was not part of the squad when Galian Yifang lost 3-2 to HB CFFC.

Kaizer Chiefs winger Khama Billiat score on his debut appearance in the Soweto Derby on Saturday despite his team losing 2-1.

The 28-year-old who joined Kaizer Chiefs in the pre-season started in the first XI but was subbed off later in the second half. He went on target in the 16th minute to secure his fourth goal of the season.

Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi also featured, making his first appearance in the derby while Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande started in his team.

Also on the scoresheet over the weekend was Ronald Pfumbidzai who grabbed a late winner in 1-0 victory over Baroka FC.

The strike was his first goal in this season. He played the entire 90 minutes as his team moved to the third position on the log.

Baroka duo of Talent Chawapiwa and keeper Elvis Chipezeze also took part in the encounter.

Amazulu midfielder Ovidy Karuru, Onismor Bhasera (Supersport United), Walter Musona (Polokwane City) and Knox Mutizwa (G. Arrows) featured for their respective teams, but keeper George Chigova, Danny Phiri and Evans Rusike missed out due to injuries.
