CLPSL Match-day 32 Preview: FC Platinum on the verge of winning championship

FC Platinum will be looking to seal their championship triumph in the Zvishavane Derby this afternoon when the Match-day 32 action rounds up.

Pure Platinum Play need just a point to win the title when they face the already relegated Shabanie Mine at Maglas Stadium. They are currently on 71 points, nine points ahead of second-placed Ngezi Platinum.

A draw will put them on an unassailable 72 points with only two games left.

On the other hand, the Chinda Boys anchor the log standing with 19 points and have nothing to play for in the encounter except the bragging rights.

They have not beaten their rivals since 2013, and the recent meeting played in June ended in a 4-0 win for FC Platinum.

In Harare, Dynamos are seeking revenge on Triangle United, a team which beat them 1-2 in a cup game last weekend.

The Dembare squad will miss several regular players with Marshall Machazane, Peace Makaha, Obey Mwerahari and Kingston Nkhatha suspended by the club. Quality Kangadzi is a doubt after the midfielder skipped training due to injury while Denver Mukamba is out of selection because of his wayward behaviour.

The Sugar Boys have a full-strength team with the likes of veterans Lameck Nhamo and Russell Madamombe ready to roll.

At Barbourfields Stadium Highlanders will face Harare City while CAPS United travel east for a date with Mutare City Rovers at Vengere.

Bulawayo Chiefs will be hoping to survive relegation with a win over second-placed Ngezi who are targeting to keep the title race alive.
