CSC: Monondo wants more goals

Chibuku Super Cup record scorer and Harare City striker, William Manondo is hoping to round up this year’s edition with more goals in the final set to be played today.

The Sunshine Boys face Triangle United at Gibbo Stadium as they seek to defend their title.

“I need to score more goals in the tournament and in the final, I will do something for the club,” Manondo told NewsDay.

“I can score again in the final. With God, all things are possible, but we need to go down there and work as a team work for each other.

“As a team, they call me Mr Chibuku, so it motivates me and I am happy to be called Mr Chibuku.”

The striker has been a regular scorer in the competition since its return in 2014, helping Harare City to the title in 2015 and in 2017. He has netted three goals in this campaign to take his tally to thirteen in the tournament.

Meanwhile, the match kicks off at 3 pm.
