Mangwiro scoffs at Harrison comments

Triangle coach Taurayi Mangwiro has thinly scoffed at Harare City complaints of home advantage saying his team was well ‘sweetened’ for the final.

Mangwiro said Mark Harrison might have his reservations but Triangle were well prepared for the final as they were hugely motivated by the prospect of playing in the African Confederation Cup which comes with winning the trophy.

“Zvadirwa sugar, that’s all I can say. We have been playing well from the start of the tournament even in the league, so this was just icing on the cake,” said Mangwiro.

“Yes Harare City have their own reasons, but I think a precedent has been set before which has seen some teams playing at home. So maybe they are right, but for us, we are glad to have won this tournament.”

Triangle turned on the power in the second half getting their goals through Ralph Kawondera and Phineas Bamusi.
