Warriors full-back Divine Lunga could return to action early next month after recovering from an ankle injury sustained in October.
The 23-year-old Golden Arrows defender missed Zimbabwe’s last three games in the 2019 Afcon Qualifiers. He had started to find his feet in the ABSA Premiership after completing a move from Chicken Inn in the pre-season.
Arrows coach Clinton Larsen revealed when Lunga is expected to return, and also commented on Danny Phiri and other injured players in the squad.
Phiri suffered a knock on national duty against DRC in Harare last month.
“We might have Divine Lunga back, but all the others are long-term injuries,” the coach told Kick-off.com.
“You look at Zuke, Danny Phiri, Nkombelo, Ndwandwe, and I can go on. There’s a few more but I think at least we have one left-footed fullback [Lunga] back, which gives us better balance.”
