Lloyd Chitembwe is reportedly set to renew his contract with Caps United, putting to sleep speculation linking him with Ngezi Platinum Stars.

Reports at the weekend suggested that Chitembwe had emerged as one of the favourites for the Ngezi job, but a close source at the club has disclosed that the coach is not going anywhere.

“A new contract is ready to be signed. In fact, the coach has already drawn the list of the players he wants in and those to be offloaded,” the source said.

Chitembwe has been under pressure from fans after an unconvincing finish to the 2018 season. He was also linked with a move to ZPC Kariba at the start of last season, but the deal fell through.
