Bonne not going anywhere: Orient coach

Leyton Orient coach Justin Edinburgh says Macauley Bonne will not leave the club in January amid links with a move to four Championship clubs.

Bonne has reportedly attracted the interest of Nottingham Forest, Derby and Norwich while Leads United are thought to be very keen on signing the Zimbabwe international in January.

But Edinburgh has insisted that the striker will be at the National League side until the end of the season, according to the East London Advertiser.

“Macauley will not be going anywhere. He will be here until the end of the season – I can guarantee that,” said the coach.

The Zimbabwe international has bagged 16 goals already this term to top the scoring chart in the National League. He arrived at the London-based side in August 2017 from Colchester and scored 22 league goals in his debut season to become the youngest player ever in the club’s history to reach that mark in a single campaign.
