Zim players based abroad round-up

Andrew Rinomhota put on a man of the match performance on Sunday in Reading’s 2-2 draw against Stoke City on Saturday.

The 21-year-old has managed to settle more quickly after promoted to the senior team this season and made his full debut last month.

Rinomhota started as the central midfielder and played the entire ninety minutes.

He has featured in six league games so far for the senior team.

Leyton Orient striker Macauley Bonne scored again when his side beat Gateshead 2-0 to remain on top of the National League table.

Bonne hit the target in the added time to double the lead which had been secured on the hour. The 23-year old striker now has 17 goals in 23 games this campaign and is the current top goal scorer.

Another UK-based Zimbabwean, Tendayi Darikwa was also in action over the weekend, playing the whole game in Nottingham Forest’s 2-0 win against Ipswich Town.

The full-back has seen more minutes on the pitch of late, featuring for the whole ninety minutes in the last nine league matches.

Bradford City left-back Adam Chicksen is also enjoying more game time since returning from injury last month, and he starred in a 2-2 draw against Peterborough in the second of the FA Cup.

But the same can’t be said on Knowledge Musona who has struggled to enjoy some minutes in action since moving to Belgian giants Anderlecht.

The Warriors skipper was left out of the squad on Sunday in 0-1 loss to KRC Genk.

Midfielder Marvelous Nakamba who also plays in the Belgian Pro League received a yellow card in Club Brugge’s 2-0 victory over Standard Liege on Sunday.
