Former Highlanders coach Erol Akbay has been unveiled as new the Ngezi Platinum Stars coach.

As reported by Soccer24 early this week, the announcement was made during the club’s end of the year awards ceremony on Thursday.

The Dutchman will replace Tonderai Ndiraya who was sacked from the job in October with just five games to go before the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the announcement has put an end to speculation linking several coaches to the job including Harare City’s Mark Harrison and Zambian Kelvin Kaindu.
