Petros Mhari confident!

FC Platinum goalkeeper Petros Mhari is confident that they will come out with a positive result when they face Congolese side AS Otaho today in the first leg of the CAF Champions League first round.

The two-time Zimbabwean champions failed to go beyond the preliminary round in the last campaign and will be hoping to put one foot in the group stages this afternoon.

According to The Standard, Mhari said: “We did well locally and achieved the other objectives, so now we are in another tricky position to reach the group stages of the Champions League.

“It’s not a secret that our previous appearances at this level have not been good, but our target is on improving that.

“At this stage, our past experiences have prepared us mentally, and now we know the demands at this level.

“No matter the treatment and conditions, I believe that as a team we are ready, we are working for a good result and also maintaining our form.”

The match will be played in Owando, 460km from Brazzaville and kick-off is at 4:30 pm Zimbabwean time.
