Chipezeze responds to Pitso Mosimane’s criticism

Baroka FC goalkeeper has responded to what Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane said about him after a league clash last week.

Mosimane accused the Zimbabwean of wasting time by “faking injuries”, and also said that the shot stopper’s actions should not have earned him the Man of the match award in the encounter which ended in a goalless draw.

Chipezeze, however, insists he was genuinely cramping after being involved in two tough matches in four days.

“We are used to this thing, people always talk. Ja, that was a genuine injury. Looking at the games we played in the space of two, three days, those things are bound to happen you know,” Chipezeze told Kick-Off.

“Because if you check we played what was a big match against (Orlando) Pirates, a cup final. It went all the way to extra-time, to penalty shootouts, so it was bound to happen.

“No hard feelings you know, coach Pitso is one of my favourite coaches. And you know he loves winning and stuff. Ja, he is one of my favourite coaches in the PSL.”

In August, Mosimane also blasted the selectors of the MOTM award after Kaizer Chiefs forward Khama Billiat won the accolade in the opening round of the season against Sundowns.
