FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza lost his cool and beat up vice-captain Gift Bello after the team’s match against Otoho D’oyo at Mandava stadium.

Bello who did not feature in the match was visibly drunk and entered into the pitch hugging his teammates but his state infuriated Mapeza who tried to talk to him.

The defender is said to have rudely answered back leading to Mapeza losing his temper and beat him up. Unconfirmed reports say the player wants to press assault charges.

Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe champions played to a goalless stalemate but benefited from their shift away in Congo in which they managed a 1-1 draw to progress on away goals rule.
