TelOne recall striker from Highlanders

TelOne have recalled Tafadzwa Sibanda from loan at Highlanders following their promotion into the top flight league.

Sibanda joined the Bulawayo giants in the midseason transfer window and scored two goals during his five-month stint.

According to Chronicle, Highlanders chief executive officer Nhlanhla Dube confirmed the 28-year-old’s return to TelOne. However, Bosso is unlikely to feel the gap left by the forward since they have signed the attacking pair of Prince Dube and Bukhosi Sibanda.

“TelOne wrote to us indicating that since they’ve been promoted into the Premiership, they need the services of Sibanda who was on loan to us.

“We wish the lad well. Remember, he came at a time when Prince and Bukhosi were yet to be cleared by their South African clubs. We prepared for Tafadzwa’s departure, and we made forward planning by signing the pair of Prince (Dube) and Bukhosi (Sibanda) on longer deals,” said Dube.

Highlanders have also signed central midfielder Nqobizitha Masuku while six players including goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda have renewed their contracts.
