CAF C.L Draw: Everything you need to know

FC Platinum will learn about their Caf Champions League opponents this Friday when the draw for the group stage is done.

The Zimbabwe Champions became the first team in the country based outside Harare to reach the group stages of the  inter-club competition. They beat CNaPS of Madagascar in the preliminary round before cruising past AS Otoho D’ Oyo where they book their place in the last sixteen.

South African teams, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates also qualified while title holders Espérance de Tunis will start their campaign in the group stages.

The sixteen teams are seeded by their performances in the CAF competitions for the previous five seasons ( CAF 5-Year Ranking points shown in parentheses). Each group will contain one team from each of Pot 1, Pot 2, Pot 3, and Pot 4, and each team will be drawn into one of the positions in their group.

FC Platinum are in Pot 3 along with Pirates, Asec Mimosa and CS Constantine.
