CAPS United C.E.O resigns

Cuthbert Chitima has reportedly resigned as the Chief Executive Officer of Caps United.

Chitima first occupied the post in 2015 as acting CEO before he became substantive the following year when the new board was appointed.

During the time he was in charge of all the club’s day-to-day operations, the Green Machine won their first league title in over a decade and also reached the group stages of the Caf Champions League.

However, following the campaign in Africa, player strikes over outstanding monies started to rock the club. In 2018, several players who had joined the team in the pre-season complained and threatened to leave after the management failed to honour what they had agreed on contracts.

Meanwhile, Chitima has been linked with a PSL CEO post as replacement of Kenny Ndebele.
