Highlanders will hold trials this weekend as they seek to identify new talent ahead of the 2019 season.

The Bulawayo Giants hosted the same event last year which is part of their ambitious project aimed at rejuvenating the club’s once vibrant junior policy.

The trials will take place at Crescent Grounds in Bulawayo on Saturday and Sunday from 9 am, and are open to all players under the of 23.

Bosso have three junior teams – the U14s, U16s and U18s, and a developmental side, Bosso 90, which plays in Division 1.

The junior system has in the past few years been literally neglected, with players no longer having the zeal to play for the club, as they would rarely be promoted to the first team.
