Ngezi Platinum Stars have appointed Tendai Chikuni and veteran Cosmas ‘Tsano’ Zulu as assistants to new coach Erol Akbay.

Zulu once served under Akbay at Highlanders two years ago before the Bulawayo giants appointed new technical team.

Chikuni, a former coach at FC Platinum and Chapungu, comes in from Central Region side ZPC Munyati.

Ngezi CEO Nyasha Kadenge confirmed the development in a statement.

“Following the announcement of Mr Erol Akbay as the new Head Coach of Ngezi Platinum Stars F.C, the Club also wishes to announce the appointments of Tendai Chikuni and Cosmas Zulu as Assistant Coaches to bolster the technical team,” reads the statement.

Meanwhile, Akbay is expected to join the team soon. The Dutchman left Zimbabwe at the end of the 2017 season after spending two years at Highlanders.
