Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp believes Khama Billiat will bounce back as the winger’s struggles in front of the goal continue.
The Zimbabwe international has endured a goal drought, having last scored in November in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup where he got a hat-trick. His last domestic goal came back in October against Orlando Pirates.
But Middendorp thinks it’s a matter of time before the 28-year-old rediscovers his touch and starts netting goals again.
“It’s normal. He’s a player with huge potential but, okay, we have the options and whether he plays until half-time or comes from the bench, we will bring him back to [form]. He has huge value for us,” the coach said.
Billiat was subbed off in the 73rd minute in Chiefs’ 2-0 victory against Bidvest Wits last night.
