Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande will be available for the trip to Zambia in the Caf Confederation Cup against Zesco United this weekend.
The midfielder picked up an hamstring injury during the 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend. He missed the midweek league fixture against Bidvest Wits on Wednesday.
In an interview with Kick-Off, coach Ernst Middendorp confirmed the 32-year-old’s availability.
“Katsande is definitely in for Sunday – he’s 100 percent available for us, but if you come out [with a muscle injury] and you think everything is fine, [it’s a risk],” explained Middendorp.
“He wanted to play [against Wits] but it is our responsibility, along with the medical department, to keep him out and wait for Sunday.”
Meanwhile, Khama Billiat and Teenage Hadebe are also available for the Sunday’s clash.
