No too much respect for FC Platinum: Pirates coach

Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic says they will not give FC Platinum too much respect when the two sides clash in the Champions League Group B opener this afternoon.

The South African giants arrived in Bulawayo yesterday ahead of the encounter set for Barbourfields Stadium. Kick-off is at 3 pm CAT.

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Sredojevic said: “We feel like we are at home away from home but we are fully aware what the match mean to both of us. We know that we’re playing a top team with quality players and a great coach.

“We know the game will be tough and will give our opponents respect but not too much as we need respect for ourselves too.”

Orlando Pirates have two Zimbabweans – Kudakwashe Mahachi and Marshall Munetsi – in their squad.

However, Mahachi might find himself starting on the bench today as he is still settling despite scoring in the last two encounters which he came on as a late substitute.
