FC Platinum in player transfer boob

FC Platinum were sold a dummy by former Kaizer Chiefs forward Edmore Chirambadare who signed for them while he still had a contract with a South African club, Maccabi FC.

Desperate for options upfront in the African Champions League, the Zvishavane-based side swallowed Chirambadare’s hook that he was a free agent and offered him a deal. The Gweru-born winger, however, has a running contract with South African National First Division club which he joined in August last year.

He signed a one-year contract due to end in August with an option of another year extension.

The boob over Chirambadare signing comes at a time when FC Platinum are embroiled in another player wrangle with Chicken Inn who are now appearing to be their foes on the transfer market.

The Gamecocks are claiming to have signed Perfect Chikwende in October 2018 while Pure Platinum Play are adamant the player belongs to them after having agreed to terms with his parent club, Bulawayo Chiefs.

The two clubs are also tussling over the ownership of Brett Amidu who recently signed for Chicken Inn claiming to be a free agent, but FC Platinum insists he is still their player.

They were also previously involved in a long dispute over Lawrence Mhlanga who went on to sign for the platinum miners at a time he had a running contract with the Gamecocks. The impasse resulted in Mhlanga spending more than a season on the sidelines, in the end, affecting his place in the national team.
