Dynamos to have another team in D1

Dynamos are looking forward to reviving their junior policy by having a team competing in the first division as a breeder for the senior team.

Coach Lloyd Chigowe believes the team can only do well when they have enough depth coming through their junior structures.

“Look at FC Platinum and Highlanders, they have teams playing in the division one league. This is the model we want to follow so that these players graduate into the senior team. Every house needs a foundation,” said Chigowe.

The Glamour Boys have been having few players coming through their structures in recent years with Kudzanayi Dhemere, Tatenda Muringani and Peace Makaha being some of the notable players to come through the juniors.

However, Highlanders are looking at ditching the Bosso 90 project which is in the Southern Region league owing to viability problems. At their recent AGM, members pushed for the abolishment of the first division side because of the huge travelling costs and concentrate on the U18 who only play in the Bulawayo league.
