Shabanie Mine appoints new coach

Central Region Division One side Shabanie Mine has appointed Ikabort Masocha as their new head coach to replace Alexio Sigion who left the club to join PSL new boys Mushowani Stars.

The Zvishavane-based side confirmed the new appointment on Facebook last night.

Speaking to the club’s media team, Masocha said that he is hoping to guide the team back to the to the top-flight in 2020.

“My ambition is to coach the team back to PSL so to make the community happy, and that’s my duty.

“What I receive from the community is all okay be it little or plenty what we want is to maintain the brand Shabanie,” said the gaffer.

Masocha had spells at now-defunct Douglas Warriors, and in 2017 he was at Mbabane Citizens in Swaziland. He also worked with CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe at Starbill FC over a decade ago.
