I’m ready for Zim: Bonne

Macauley Bonne says he is ready to play for the Warriors as the striker closes to securing his local passport.

The 23-year-old UK-born striker has already started the process of having the Zimbabwean travel document. He is expected to make his competitive national team debut next month against Congo Brazzaville in the Afcon Qualifiers at National Sports Stadium.

In an interview with Sunday Mail, Bonne said: “I’m ready for it (Warriors) now, Zimbabwean fans should be patient while I sort out my passport issue but when I come its go time.

“Playing for Zimbabwe will make my family proud.”

Bonne has been capped before, albeit in friendly matches. His Warriors debut came in November 2017 in a 0-1 defeat to Lesotho.
