Solskjaer wants to avoid PSG mistake in Liverpool game

Manchester United caretaker coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to avoid the mistake they did against PSG when they face Liverpool in today’s Premier League showdown.

The Red Devils sat back and allowed the visitors to take control of their UEFA Champions League encounter, and the French team went on to win the tie.

“We always want to take the initiative,” said the coach, according to Goal. “I thought we started on the front foot against PSG but, then again, they took the initiative so we will go into this game wanting to dominate the game, but we know their strengths.

“We know they’re going to be waiting for our mistakes, and counter attack but then, if we drop back, they can dominate us.

“So we don’t want to do that at Old Trafford, we’ve just got to take that lead.”

Solskjaer is looking to stay unbeaten in domestic action since taking over for Jose Mourinho in December. Kick-off time is at 3 pm CAT and it will be live on SuperSport TV.
