Teamwork vital in match against Congo: Karuru

Warriors midfielder Ovidy Karuru says they need to work as a team and ensure that they reach the 2019 Afcon finals set for Egypt in June.

Zimbabwe host Congo Brazzaville in a decisive qualifying match on the 24th of March at the National Sports Stadium in Harare. The Southern Africans currently lead Group G with eight points and require at least a draw to book their place at the tournament.

In an interview with H-Metro, Karuru also urged the fans to rally behind them on the day of the match.

“We just need to fight as a team not as individuals because teamwork is going to win us the game,” said the AmaZulu midfielder.

“Fans should rally behind them for the whole ninety minutes because we need them from the first minute to the last.

“We won’t disappoint them, we will put our bodies on the line in that game,” he added.
