Ndiraya confident of positive result in Mozambique

Young Warriors coach Tonderayi Ndiraya is optimistic of beating Mozambique in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Maputo on Friday.

Ndiraya and his Under-23 team leaves the country on today and will play the reverse fixture on Tuesday, next week, at the National Sports Stadium.

“We are going there with a positive mind which is to get a result,” said Ndiraya. “I have been excited by the attitude I am getting from the players.

“It has been a long time since we had an Under-23 team, but this group of players is raring to go into battle. They are super excited.

“We also have a group of foreign-based players who are thrilled to be in Africa for the first time in their lives while some are returning after many years. This has certainly added the excitement and anxiety in the camp.”
