Fidelity Life Assurance and the Premier Soccer League have entered into a partnership that will benefit the players with medical aid cover.

The launch was held in Harare and was attended by the PSL chairman Farai Jere and representatives from all league clubs.

The partnership which will run for the next three years will see each PSL club registering a total of thirty players and five technical members that will get medical aid and life assurance cover. The medical aid, however, will only be valid in the PSL games and related events.

The initiative comes at time several players have found it difficult to continue with careers after suffering injuries that would require surgery or specialists but won’t afford the costs.
