Low uptake of Warriors match tickets, Kamambo reveals number of sales

Zifa could consider putting up more selling points for Warriors match tickets following a low uptake in the past weeks.

The national team host Congo in a decisive Afcon qualifier at the National Sports Stadium tomorrow.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Zifa President Felton Kamambo revealed that 18 374 tickets had been sold by Friday morning. The sales are currently being made online and at a few outlets in Harare, Gweru, Bulawayo, Mutare and Masvingo.

However, Kamambo was confident of more sales this weekend and on the day of the match.

“Judging by the sales we did today (Friday), we won’t be surprised that by end of the day we could have sold more than 30 000,” the Zifa president told reporters.

The kick-off for the match is at 3 pm, and Zifa urges fans to come to the stadium early. Gates close at 1:30 pm.
