Ndiraya to use same squad that played in Mozambique

Young Warriors coach Tonderai Ndiraya is likely to use the squad which made the trip to Mozambique last week in tomorrow’s second leg of the second round qualifier of the U23 Afcon 2019.

Ndiraya named a few foreign based players in the squad including goalkeeper Martin Mapisa of Velez CF in Spain, Reward Mwakona (Ards, N. Ireland), Seth Patrick (VFB Luebeck, Germany) and Matifadzi Zata (Dundee United, Scotland).

The winner in tomorrow’s encounter will face either South Africa or Angola in the final round of qualification. Zimbabwe received a bye in the first round and Friday’s stalemate kept their hopes alive of proceeding to the next round.

The game is set for National Sports Stadium in Harare.

Here is the final 18-man squad that travelled to Mozambique:

Goalkeepers: Martin Mapisa (Velez CF, Spain),Nelson Chadya (Ngez Platinum).

Defenders: Reward Mwakona (Ards, N. Ireland), Mbongeni Ndlovu (Highlanders), Peace Makaha (Manica Diamonds), Shadreck Nyahwa (Bulawayo Chiefs).

Midfielders: Tatenda Tavengwa (Harare City), Marlvin Kwinjo (Ngezi Platinum), Kudzai Dhemere (Dynamos), Seth Patrick (VFB Luebeck, Germany), Matifadzi Zata (Dundee United, Scotland), Anelka Chivandire (Triangle United), Nicholas Guyo (Ubuntu Cape Town, S.A).

Strikers: Delic Murimba (Triangle United), Junior Zindoga (Maritzburg United, S.A), Prince Dube (Highlanders), Aubriel Chirinda (Chicken Inn).
