Zifa has issued a message of condolence to the family of the Warriors supporter who died at National Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The female fan was crushed to death in a stampede at the entrance into the stadium when people clamoured to get inside before the match started.

“Our heartfelt condolences go to the family and friends of a Warriors supporter who passed on after being trampled on at the Warriors match yesterday. May her soul rest in eternal peace. We also wish those who have injured a speedy recovery,” Zifa said in a statement posted on social media.

The death of this Warriors faithful has overshadowed the country’s celebrations of reaching the Afcon 2019 in style after beating the central Africans 2-0 and finish the campaign on top of Group B.
