TelOne appointed Jairos Tapera as the new coach on Tuesday, replacing Joel Luphahla who guided the team to top flight football last year.

Luphahla is still with the club and was re-assigned to the position of a technical director as he doesn’t have the CAF A licence which allows him to sit on the bench.

In a statement, the Gweru-based club said: “TelOne is delighted to announce the appointment of Jairos Tapera as Head Coach… With this appointment, Joel Luphahla who was the Head Coach will assume the role of Technical Manager.”

Tapera has vast experience in the PSL, having coached a number of clubs such as Black Rhinos, Hwange and FC Platinum. His first assignment is on Sunday against Herentals in Match-day 1 of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
