Congolese-born Mangala for the Warriors?

Congolese born Dynamos striker Ngandu Mangala says he would like to play for the Warriors of Zimbabwe rather than play for his native Democratic Republic of Congo.

The forward arrived in the country over a decade ago which now qualifies him for Zimbabwean citizenship.

‘In my dreams, I don’t even think of going back to DRC. I have dreams for Zimbabwe. Given a chance I would like to play for the Warriors,” said Mangala.

Mangala has been making headlines since joining Dynamos in the preseason, scoring one goal in the Charity Challenge Cup against Caps United. He showed his aggressiveness when he scored a brace in the opening league match in the 2-0 victory over Mushowani Stars.

The 25-year-old has promised to score more goals for Dynamos.

Speaking in Shona he said: “Vanhu havasati vafara, vachafarisisa, magetsi haasati auya, vachaona magetsi.”
