Edward Sadomba’s return to the local league after a decade long stay in the foreign lands was met with a 2-1 defeat to Hwange on Sunday. The 35-year-old Dynamos captain was making his league debut after rejoining the club in the pre-season.

Swarm of bees halts play in Battle of the Cities
A passing swarm of bees caused a temporary stoppage in the opening stage of the game between Highlanders and CAPS United as almost everyone on the field, including the referees, went down to the ground to avoid attracting them. Only Gabriel Nyoni was spotted standing while the bees were passing over the Barbourfields Stadium.

FC Platinum end jinx
FC Platinum beat Triangle United at Mandava Stadium for the first time in three years. They had drawn two of their last meetings at the venue, but a 2-1 victory on Saturday afternoon ended the unconvincing run, thanks to goals from Ali Sadiki and Lameck Nhamo who netted against his former club.
