Warriors head coach Sunday Chidzambwa and team manager Wellington Mpandare left the country yesterday to attend the 2019 Afcon draw in Egypt.

Zifa Board Member Chamu Chiwanza is also part of the delegation.

Zimbabwe is among the twenty-four teams that qualified for the tournament set to take place in the north African nation from June 21 – July 19. The draw will be held on Friday at 8 pm Zimbabwean time.

“Sunday Chidzambwa and Wellington Mpandare left for Egypt yesterday to represent Zimbabwe at the AFCON draw set for 12 April. Board Member Chamu Chiwanza is also with them,” Zifa confirmed in a statement on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, CAF has dismissed the 2019 Afcon draw procedure being reported in the media.

The continental body says it’s yet to approve a draw procedure in accordance with the statutes and regulations of the confederation.
