Harare City to use younger players against Highlanders

Harare City coach Mark Harrison has hinted on making several changes in the team that will face Highlanders on Saturday.

The Sunshine Boys have lost their opening two matches of the season, and it’s the performance against Manica Diamonds on Sunday that has forced the coach to look for other options.

Speaking to the press on Thursday, Harrison said the technical team is considering resting senior players and give youngsters some game time.

“We have been using experienced players, but so far the results haven’t followed, so this weekend you might see one or two youngsters coming in because at the end of the day I need to get results.

“If you see the senior players are not doing it, you look up to the younger players to do it,” the coach said.

Younger players such as Tellmore Pio, Learnmore Muyambo and Tatenda Tumba have all started from the bench this season.

The match will be played at Rufaro Stadium on Saturday and kick-off is at 3 pm.
