Dynamos blames referee for Chicken Inn loss

Dynamos coach Lloyd Chigowe blamed the referee Hardley Ndazi for his team’s 2-0 defeat to Chicken Inn on Saturday.

The Glamour Boys also had their captain, Edward Sadomba send-off in the first half and Chigowe felt the decision made it hard for his team to mount a challenge to come back into the match having trailed since the early stages of the game.

“The refereeing was pathetic, some of the decisions were too much for us. Without taking anything away from Chicken Inn, they had the good passing game, but their penalty was too soft and the second goal was scored from an offside position according to me,” said Chigowe.

“The referee also took long to decide and was a bit hesitant to make a decision on the sending off of Edward Sadomba. His tackle didn’t warrant a sending off, and that was too harsh. From then on it was going to be difficult to come back into the game with a man down.”

Hwange based Ndazi, however, has all his games that he handles involving Dynamos ending in controversy. Yesterday the match had to be stopped as Dynamos fans housed at Mpilo End were throwing missiles onto the field following the sending off of Sadomba.

Dynamos, nevertheless, dominated the second half, and with a bit of precision, they could have pulled one back with first-half substitute Godfrey Mukambi stabilising the midfield and tilting the match in their favour.
