Billiat steers Chiefs into Nedbank Cup final

Khama Billiat was involved in three goals as Kaizer Chiefs beat Chippa United 4-2 to advance to the final of the 2019 Nedbank Cup on Saturday.

The Zimbabwean created and then scored late in the game as Chiefs completed a come back to set a cup final showdown with NFD side TS Galaxy.

Billiat was first involved in the opening goal scored by Dumisani Zuma eight minutes to the break before he assisted Bernard Parker in the 84th minute to add to make it 3-2. The winger then put his name on the scoresheet with a brilliant long-range strike three minutes to full-time to seal the victory.

Meanwhile, Billiat had last found the back of the net for his club in mid-March when he scored in a 1-1 draw against SuperSport United.

Elsewhere, Golden Arrows striker Knox Mutizwa snatched the consolation when his side went 3-1 down at the hands of TS Galaxy in another semi-final played earlier on Saturday.

The forward converted a penalty in the 71st minute which put his team in the lead. However, an own goal by Velemseni Ndwandwe in the minutes added forced the game into the extra time and eventually Arrows conceded two more goals to bow out of the competition.
