Monday Preview: CLPSL Match-day 4

Highlanders will be hoping to build from their Thursday’s Independence Cup triumph and prevail over Triangle United this afternoon.

Bosso are yet to win a league match this year, having drawn two and lost the other in the opening rounds of the campaign. But with a full-strength squad buoyed by the return of influential forward Bukhosi Ncube who made his debut last week, the hosts could get something from the tie.

The head-to-head record is also in their favour as Triangle have only won once in the 12 league encounters since 2013. Highlanders have six victories with the latest one coming in the last meeting.

The match will be played at Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo.

In Harare, Dynamos will be without their captain Edward Sadomba against Herentals.

Sadomba is serving a red card suspension after he was sent off in Match-day 3. Confusion had engulfed his ban after it was reported that he had done the punishment in the Independence Cup final. But the PSL disowned the match and insisted that the 35-year old is still suspended and will serve his one-match ban today.

On the other side, coach Lloyd Chigowe will be hoping his charges get a positive result and stop the rot which has seen them lose three consecutive games across all competitions.

The Students will also try to put on a decent performance and get their first victory of the season.

Elsewhere, Manica Diamonds lock horns with Mushowani Stars at Gibbo Stadium.
