Obriel Chirinda’s health worries Chicken Inn

Chicken Inn are reportedly worried about the health of Obriel Chirinda after the midfielder collapsed twice on the field of play in the past month.

According to B-Metro, the Gamecocks are now in the process of running several medical tests on the striker with fears that the player could have underlying cardiac diseases.

“The preliminary tests that we have done on Chirinda so far show that he does not have visible cardiac underlying causes,” said team doctor Willmore Kapuyanyika.

“We are still monitoring him as this does not happen on a regular basis. We are going to run more tests and we are very much concerned with his malaise (a brief loss of consciousness). Chirinda is training with the rest of the squad.”

The stocky forward temporarily lost his consciousness first when he was on national team duty with the Under-23s at the end of March. He suffered the same fate again when he went motionless in a league clash against Dynamos a fortnight ago.

He didn’t travel with the team to play Ngezi Platinum Stars last weekend and will be expected to feature against FC Platinum on Saturday.
