We knew the triumph would come one day: Chitembwe

CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe says he knew one day his team would score a couple of goals in a single match.

The Green Machine thrashed Bulawayo Chiefs 4-1 at National Sports Stadium on Sunday. The goals came from John Zhuwawu in the 11th minute before Gabriel Nyoni doubled the advantage on minute 22.

Dominic Chunga netted the third one five minutes into the second half, and Joel Ngodzo made it four a few moments later while Chiefs got their consolation from Arthur Musiyiwa.

“We knew that one day, we would win by four or five goals, but we didn’t think that it would come this early in the season. What makes me happy is that the goals were scored by three members of the attack. It shows that we have potent strikers,” Chitembwe said after the match.

Meanwhile, Ronald Chitiyo made his comeback after a lengthy injury lay-off, coming on as an 86th-minute substitute.
