Struggling Bulawayo giants Highlanders face a tricky encounter with stubborn Hwange, knowing that anything but a win will further deepen their crisis.
Bosso go into today’s encounter on the back of a disappointing goalless draw with new boys Mashowani Stars, which saw their frustrated fans calling for coach Mandinda Ndlovu’s immediate exit.
The Bulawayo side’s season has so far been marred by in-house squabbles and poor performance but today’s tie presents them with a chance to salvage their troubled campaign.
They have received a boost by the return of Mbongeni Ndlovu, Peter Nyirenda (both from injuries) and McClive Phiri who was serving a red card suspension.
On the flip side, Chipangano, who returned to the top-flight league this year, have had a brilliant start to the season and currently occupy second place, with a defeat to log leaders F.C Platinum being their only blemish so far.
A victory today could see them jumping to pole position provided they win the match with a better margin than that of ZPC Kariba.
Meanwhile, the last meeting between the two outfits ended 3-0 in favour of Hwange.
Kick-off is at 3 pm.
