Mapeza not happy after dropping points at Mandava

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza was not happy with how his charges dropped points against Herentals on Saturday.

The Platinum Boys played to a goalless draw at Mandava with the hosts creating a few chances that were on target despite dominating possession.

Speaking after the game, Mapeza said he now hopes to pick themselves up and improve in the next match.

“We could have won the game in the first half, but we failed to convert the chances we got. With the dominance we had, I thought we could have collected maximum points. We will go back to the drawing board and hope to improve in our next game,” he said.

FC Platinum remain on top of the log with 14 points, but yesterday’s result means either Hwange FC or ZPC Kariba can jump into the pole position provided they collect maximum points against Highlanders and Dynamos respectively this afternoon.
