Luke Shaw was named Manchester United’s Player of the Year at the club’s end-of-season awards held on Thursday night.

The fullback also won the United players’ player of the year award. He has made 40 appearances in all competitions this season, ahead of Sunday’s final game against Cardiff City.

The left-back was named the club’s player of the month on three occasions – in August, September and March.

Other winners on the night are Andreas Pereira who picked up the Goal of the Year for his screamer against Southampton. Tahith Chong was named reserve team’s best player of the year while midfielder Katie Zelem won Manchester United women’s player of the year award.
