Akbay fumes at referee after Yadah draw

Ngezi Platinum Stars coach Erol Akbay was left fuming at the referee Thabani Bamala after his side conceded a second-half penalty which saw them draw 1-1 against Yadah.

Madamburo had taken a lead on the 28th minute through Tichaona Mabvura and were later denied a penalty after Brian Chikwenya appeared to have handled inside the box.

Bamala then awarded a penalty to Yadah in the 58th minute when Nelson Ketala had similar handball, something that infuriated the Dutch gaffer.

“The referee was not our best friend, everything we did he flagged against us,” said Akbay.

“Also the penalty, if you want to give this kind of penalty then he has to do it in all the games, in the first half we had a similar incident.

“Sometimes somehow referees do not see, and they own the rules of football, and sometimes I do not understand these referees.

“But again we failed to score goals, though the referee was the biggest problem,” he added.
