Bulawayo Chiefs defeat, a wake-up call: Ndiraya

Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya says the 2-0 defeat against minnows Bulawayo Chiefs on Saturday should be a wake-up call for the need to work hard and maintain consistency.

The Glamour Boys suffered their loss since Ndiraya took over the reins at the start of the month. They had gone for three games without losing, but two late goals from Arthur Musiyiwa, from the spot, and Micheal Bhebhe ended their undefeated run.

Speaking after the match, the coach said the players have to pick themselves up from the slump ahead of their two coming games against Ngezi Platinum Stars and FC Platinum.

“We had a huge psychological dent on the players, and we have to work hard and try to lift their spirits because the two upcoming games are not easy,” Ndiraya said.

“We are meeting Ngezi Platinum and FC Platinum, so we need to fight. I didn’t see any aggression today (Saturday), we didn’t create good scoring opportunities. We have to take ourselves out of this situation.”

The defeat to Chiefs means that Dynamos are still to collect a point at Barbourfields Stadium this term.
