Chipezeze wins SA PSL Award, Khama Billiat misses out

Baroka FC’s Elvis Chipezeze has won the Telkom Knockout Player of the Tournament award at the 2019 South African Premier Soccer League Awards.

The Zimbabwean keeper who arrived in South Africa ahead of the start of the season kept three clean sheets and conceded only two goals as his side went on to win the cup.

His performances in the game against Mamelodi Sundowns were the biggest highlight in the campaign. The player pocketed R200 000 for winning the award.

The other Zimbabwean nominated at the Awards, Kaizer Chiefs winger Khama Billiat missed out on the Nedbank Cup Player of the tournament and the ABSA Premiership Goal of the Season.
