Chitembwe not satisfied with performance despite beating Mushowani

CAPS United coach Lloyd Chitembwe was not satisfied with his team’s performance despite winning the match 3-2 against Mushawani Stars on Sunday.

The Green Machine trailed behind at one point in the game after conceding two quick goals, one of which was from the spot.

Substitute Ronald Chitiyo saved the day for the team, netting the winner late in the second period to add to first-half goals by Godwin Goriyati and Dominic Chungwa.

“We accept the result and take it home, but in terms of performance, we were not at our best,” Chitembwe said after the game.

“We were slightly off colour and probably the main reason was down to having played a very gruelling game (against Chapungu) on Thursday.”

CAPS United are now a point clear on top, repossessing the position they surrendered in the midweek after losing to Chapungu.
