Pfumbidzai wants to market himself at Afcon

Ronald Pfumbidzai says he wants to market himself at Afcon so that he can secure a new club abroad.

The Bloemfontein Celtic full-back is expected to form a part in the Warriors’ final squad that will travel to Egypt for the tournament which starts on June 21.

Should he make it into the selection, it will be Pfumbadzai’s first time to play at the Afcon.

According to NewsDay, he said: “I take it as an opportunity to showcase my talents so that I can secure a new club abroad.

“It’s a good chance for me. It’s not about me marking Mohamed Salah or whoever, we play as a team, but I am not scared of anyone. As someone who grew up in the ghetto, I am not afraid to face anyone.”

The Warriors will start their campaign against hosts Egypt on the opening day of the tournament before facing other Group A opponents – DRC and Uganda – in the following days.
