CAPS United in-house fighting: Club responds to reports

CAPS United have rubbished social media reports suggesting a fallout between team doctor Dennis Chabwera and the club’s vice-president, Nhamo Tutisani.

The reports claimed that Chabwera exchanged harsh words with Tutisani during a recent meeting and efforts to iron out the differences failed as the former decided to give up his role as the team doctor.

But the Harare giants have dismissed the story as false and also revealed that Chabwera is travelling with the team to Hwange for their Match-day 9 encounter at the Colliery on Sunday.

“We would like to dismiss this false, malicious and unfounded story meant to destabilise the log leaders,” the club said in a statement.

“We can confirm that Dr Chabwera is part of the travelling crop that has left Harare for Hwange.

“We are united and have no issues in our camp.”

CAPS United are currently on top of the table with 19 points.
